Ways to sign in
- Email: enter your address and confirm with the code Silvertext emails you. There is no password to remember.
- Google and Apple: one click with the account you already have. Sign in with Apple can hide your email; Silvertext still receives mail sent to the relay address Apple gives it.
Use the same method each time. Signing in with Google and later with an email code for the same address reaches the same account only when the addresses match exactly.
The code never arrives
Check spam and promotions folders, and that the address is spelled right. Codes expire after a few minutes; request a new one from the sign-in page. If your mail provider delays delivery, wait a minute before requesting again; requests are rate limited.
"Keep my account" screen after signing in
The account has a pending deletion request. Choose Keep my account to cancel it; see the deleting-your-account article.
Signed in on another device
Sessions are per device. Sign out from Settings on a device you no longer use.
Changing the email address
Open Account → Settings → Email. The new address is confirmed with a code before it becomes the account address; receipts and notifications move to it.
