Will it change how my writing sounds?

No. Corrections are scoped to the error (agreement, tense, punctuation, spelling) and written in the register we detected in the surrounding paragraph.

Does it handle British and American spelling?

Yes. Set the English you write in once, under Settings → Language, and corrections follow it instead of dragging your paper across the Atlantic.

Does it only check English?

No. Corrections follow the language each part of your document is written in. Spelling and grammar are judged by that language's own conventions, never by English ones. We stand behind English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch.

Can it check a bibliography too?

Reference lists are handled by the citation check, which runs at the same time and looks at format rather than grammar.

Is there a word limit?

A single check covers up to 25,000 words, longer than almost any assignment. Split a thesis by chapter and each part comes back separately.
