What does Free include?
1 free check total with no account and no card: the full report of the first 5,000 words of your draft, every check included (plagiarism with sources, AI likelihood, spelling and grammar, citations), with fixes that work on the spot. A free account saves the report and downloads it. A plan is required for longer papers and additional checks.
Is there a trial?
The free check is the first look, no card needed. Eligible new accounts see the introductory offer before checkout. For Pro Weekly, it continues at $7.99/week unless you cancel. Choose a different billing period to see its renewal price. You can cancel from your account page.
How do credits work?
A check is billed per 250 words or part of one, and you pay for the checks you turn on: 40 credits for every check plus 70 for plagiarism, 20 for grammar and spelling, 10 for citations and 10 for AI content. Everything on is 150 credits per 250 words, plagiarism alone is 110, grammar alone is 60; a short check of 40 to 250 words counts as one 250-word page. Pro Monthly and Annual include 36,000 credits every month (roughly 60,000 words with everything on, more with fewer checks) and Weekly includes 9,000 credits every week (about 15,000 words). Credits refill on your billing date and don't roll over; top-up packs never expire.
What languages and file types can I check?
We support English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch. Documents mixing these languages are checked sentence by sentence. Other languages written with spaces between words may work, but results can be less reliable. Languages written without spaces between words, such as Chinese, Japanese and Thai, aren't supported yet. Paste text or upload PDF, Word, plain-text, spreadsheet and image files, source code too.
Is my writing added to a database?
No. Drafts are checked against sources and never stored as a source for other checks, so no one else’s document is matched against yours. Your work is not used for training either.
Will using Silvertext flag me at school?
Silvertext is a private pre-check. Nothing is shared with your institution. Reports exist so you can fix issues before you submit.
Can I switch or cancel later?
Yes. Switch between Weekly, Monthly and Annual any time and we prorate the difference. Canceling stops the next charge and leaves your past reports downloadable.
Do you sell to departments?
Not as a self-serve plan yet. Tell us how many people you need to cover and how you buy (invoicing, purchase orders, the systems it has to sit alongside) and we will tell you honestly what we can do now and what we would have to build.
