What does Free include?
3 scans a day of up to 250 words each (plagiarism, AI likelihood, spelling and grammar) with no account and no card: the first 40 words in full, the rest of the scan as a blurred preview. Sign up (still no card) and we complete your first full document free, sources included. Pro is for the full report on every draft, with fixes.
Is there a trial?
The free scans are the first look, no card needed. When an introductory offer for new accounts is running you will see it at checkout; it continues as Pro Monthly at $30/month unless you cancel, and canceling is one click from the account page.
How do credits work?
A check costs 150 credits for every 250 words or part of one, so a short check of 40 to 250 words is 150 credits and a 300-word check is 300. Pro Monthly and Annual include 36,000 credits every month (roughly 60,000 words of checking) and Weekly includes 9,000 credits every week (about 15,000 words). Credits refill on your billing date and don't roll over; top-up packs never expire.
What languages and file types can I check?
Paste text or upload PDF, Word, plain-text, spreadsheet and image files, source code too. Checks follow the language each part of your document is written in; we stand behind English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, and languages written without spaces (like Chinese or Japanese) aren't supported yet.
Is my writing added to a database?
No. Drafts are checked against sources and never stored as a source for other checks, so no one else’s document is matched against yours. Your work is not used for training either.
Will using Silvertext flag me at school?
Silvertext is a private pre-check. Nothing is shared with your institution. Reports exist so you can fix issues before you submit.
Can I switch or cancel later?
Yes. Switch between Weekly, Monthly and Annual any time and we prorate the difference. Canceling stops the next charge and leaves your past reports downloadable.
Do you sell to departments?
Not as a self-serve plan yet. Tell us how many people you need to cover and how you buy (invoicing, purchase orders, the systems it has to sit alongside) and we will tell you honestly what we can do now and what we would have to build.
