Cookie Policy

Silvertext is a product name of, and is operated by, Elowin Labs LLC. This policy lists the cookies and similar browser storage used on silvertext.com and app.silvertext.com, what each one does, how long it lasts, and how to change your choice. It is part of our Privacy Policy.

1. What this covers

A cookie is a small text record a website stores in your browser and sends back on later requests. Browsers also offer local storage, which stays on your device and is never sent to our servers. This page lists both: anything that remembers you or a choice you made between page loads.

2. Essential cookies

These keep you signed in, carry a free scan into your account, and keep the site secure. They run without consent because the Service cannot work without them; the consent control shows them as always on.

NameSet byPurposeLasts
__session, __client_uat, __clerk_db_jwtClerk, our sign-in provider, on app.silvertext.comYour signed-in session and whether it is still fresh. Set only once you sign in.For the session, refreshed while you use the app
st_consentSilvertextYour answer to the cookie banner, so every page honors it.180 days
st_gscan, st_gclaimSilvertextHands a free scan started on silvertext.com to your account when you sign up, so the report you were reading is the one you keep.10 minutes and 2 hours
__cf_bm, cf_clearanceCloudflareTells people from automated traffic and remembers a passed security check, including the check on our contact and waitlist forms.30 minutes to 1 year

3. Preferences kept in your browser

The app remembers a few preferences in local storage so they survive a reload. Nothing here is sent to us; clearing your browser storage resets them to the defaults.

4. Analytics

Analytics tells us which pages help and which confuse. It runs unless you decline the Analytics category in the banner or in the preferences control; declining stops it at once and keeps it off on later visits. Two services count visits; one of them uses cookies.

NameSet byPurposeLasts
_ga, _ga_*Google Analytics 4Tells visits apart and counts page views and product events. Stops when you decline Analytics. Its advertising signals follow the Advertising category (section 5); ad personalization is off in every case.2 years
st_attr, st_anonSilvertextWhich campaign or link brought you here, and an anonymous visitor id, so we can tell which pages lead to a first check. If you decline Analytics the same values live only for the current tab. If you arrive from one of our ads, the click id it adds to the address is kept here too: declining Advertising measurement removes it at once and it is then never sent to Google (section 5).90 days
st_flowSilvertextWhich version of our sign-up path this browser was shown, so it stays the same on your next visit and we can compare the versions. Holds a letter and a word, nothing about you. Without Analytics consent it lives only for the current tab.30 days
(none)Plausible AnalyticsCookieless page-view counting. Plausible sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. Not applicable

5. Advertising measurement

We advertise Silvertext on Google Search. When you arrive from one of those ads, the address carries a click id (gclid, gbraid or wbraid), kept in our own st_attr cookie above. Advertising measurement runs unless you decline it: Google's tag may then set its measurement cookie, and a trial or paid plan that starts from the ad is reported to Google as a conversion, together with a one-way hash of your email address so Google can match it to the click. That is the whole use: one yes or no per ad, so we know which ads pay for themselves. If you decline the Advertising category, in the banner or later from the preferences control, the click id is removed at once, the tag switches to its consent-denied mode (no advertising cookie, no identifier), and nothing is reported. Nothing here builds an interest profile, ad personalization is off in every case, and we run no remarketing. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, we treat it as declining Advertising measurement before you answer and after.

Some other sites and assistants add a referral identifier of their own to a link when you follow it here. Where one is present we keep it in the same st_attr cookie, remove it on the same decline, and never send it to an advertiser. It tells us only which source sent you.

NameSet byPurposeLasts
_gcl_au and similarGoogle Ads, on silvertext.com and app.silvertext.comLets Google connect a trial or paid plan to the ad click that led to it. Not set, and removed, when you decline Advertising measurement.Up to 90 days

6. What we do not do

Silvertext shows no advertising on its pages, and the only advertising cookie it allows is the measurement one in section 5, which you can decline. We do not sell personal information, we do not build profiles from the text you check, and none of the entries above contains the content of your documents.

7. Your choices

Change your answer at any time from in the footer of every page. Declining Functional, Analytics and Advertising leaves the site fully usable. You can also delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings; if you delete st_consent the banner asks again on your next visit. Signing out of the app clears the Clerk cookies.

8. Changes to this policy

When a cookie or storage key is added, removed or changed, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. A change that widens what we collect asks for your consent again.

9. Contact

Questions about cookies or this policy: hello@silvertext.com, or the contact page.
