Cookie Policy
Silvertext is a product name of, and is operated by, Elowin Labs LLC. This policy lists the cookies and similar browser storage used when you visit silvertext.com or app.silvertext.com, what each one does, how long it lasts, and how to change your choice. It is part of our Privacy Policy.
1. What this covers
A cookie is a small text record a website stores in your browser and sends back on later requests. Browsers also offer local storage, which stays on your device and is never sent to our servers. This page lists both: anything that remembers you or a choice you made between page loads.
2. Essential cookies
These keep you signed in, carry a free scan into your account, keep the site secure, and let us count whether an ad we paid for led to a trial. They run without consent because the Service cannot work or be paid for without them; the consent control shows them as always on.

3. Preferences kept in your browser
The app remembers a few preferences in local storage so they survive a reload. Nothing here is sent to us; clearing your browser storage resets them to the defaults.

4. Analytics
Analytics tells us which pages help and which confuse. It runs unless you decline the Analytics category in the banner or in the preferences control; declining stops it at once and keeps it off on later visits. Three services run here; two of them use cookies.

5. Advertising measurement
We advertise Silvertext on Google Search. When you arrive from one of those ads, the address carries a click id (gclid, gbraid or wbraid), kept in our own st_attr cookie above. Advertising measurement runs unless you decline it: Google's tag may then set its measurement cookie, and a trial or paid plan that starts from the ad is reported to Google as a conversion, together with a one-way hash of your email address so Google can match it to the click. That is the whole use: one yes or no per ad, so we know which ads pay for themselves. If you decline the Advertising category, in the banner or later from the preferences control, the click id is removed at once, the tag switches to its consent-denied mode (no advertising cookie, no identifier), and nothing is reported. Nothing here builds an interest profile, ad personalization is off in every case, and we run no remarketing. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, we treat it as declining Advertising measurement before you answer and after.
Reddit measurement requires an explicit choice to allow Advertising; leaving the banner unanswered does not enable it. Earlier Advertising choices stay unchanged and do not enable Reddit; you can make a fresh choice from Your privacy choices. When allowed, the Reddit Pixel receives page visits, sign-ups, trial starts and completed purchases, using a browser identifier and the ad's click id (rdt_cid) to connect them to our ads. Purchases include the amount paid and currency; each conversion has an event reference to avoid counting it twice. The pixel also receives technical browser data, such as your IP address and browser type. We do not send it document text, report contents, report page addresses or titles, email addresses or names. Declining Advertising stops new Reddit events and removes its browser identifiers. Global Privacy Control keeps Reddit measurement off even if you previously allowed Advertising.
We also advertise Silvertext inside ChatGPT. Those ads are measured by the OpenAI cookies listed under essential cookies in section 2, which do not follow the Advertising category: when you sign up, start a checkout, start a trial or pay for a plan, we report it to OpenAI with the click reference its script kept and a one-way hash of your email address and of your account id, so OpenAI can match the step to the ad. That is the same single use as above, one yes or no per ad, and nothing else is shared: no document text, no interest profile, no personalization. A copy of the click reference also lives in our own st_attr cookie for our reporting; declining Advertising removes that copy. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control we do not report any of it to OpenAI.

6. What we do not do
Silvertext shows no advertising on its pages, and the only advertising cookies it allows are the measurement ones in sections 2 and 5. We do not sell personal information, we do not build profiles from the text you check, and none of the entries above contains the content of your documents.
7. Your choices
Change your answer at any time from in the footer of every page. Declining Functional, Analytics and Advertising leaves the site fully usable. If you leave the banner unanswered it closes itself after about twenty seconds and records the defaults described above: Functional and Analytics on, and Advertising measurement on unless your browser sends Global Privacy Control. Nothing new starts when the banner closes. These defaults do not enable Reddit measurement; it requires an explicit choice to allow Advertising. The footer link stays the way to change any of it. You can also delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings; if you delete st_consent the banner asks again on your next visit. Signing out of the app clears the Clerk cookies.
8. Changes to this policy
When a cookie or storage key is added, removed or changed, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. A change that widens what we collect asks for your consent again.
