Terms of Service

Silvertext (the "Service") is a product name of, and is owned, hosted, and operated by, Elowin Labs LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("Elowin Labs", "we", "us", or "our"). References to "Silvertext" in these Terms mean Elowin Labs LLC doing business as Silvertext. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Elowin Labs LLC. By creating an account, purchasing a plan, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. The Service

Silvertext analyzes text you submit — for potential plagiarism against publicly available web sources, grammar and spelling, citation formatting, and signals of AI-generated content — and returns a report with suggested fixes. Results are automated estimates produced by software and machine-learning systems. They are provided for informational purposes, may contain errors or omissions, and are not a certification, guarantee, or legal determination of originality, authorship, or the absence or presence of plagiarism or AI writing.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service (or older where your jurisdiction requires). The Service is currently offered to customers in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account, and you agree to provide accurate account information.

3. Plans, trials, and billing

Paid plans, prices, and included allowances are shown at checkout and on our pricing page. The introductory offer costs $0.99 for three days and automatically converts to the monthly subscription shown at checkout unless you cancel before the trial ends. Weekly, monthly, and annual plans renew automatically at the disclosed price and interval until cancelled. Taxes may apply based on your location. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers. We may suspend access after a failed payment while collection is retried.

4. Credits

Plans include the credit allowance shown when you purchase or renew. A credit corresponds to a fixed amount of processed text (currently about 250 words). Annual subscriptions receive their allowance in monthly quota periods. Unused plan credits expire at the end of each quota period and do not roll over. Separately purchased credit packs do not expire. Credits are reserved while a check is processing and charged when it completes successfully.

5. Cancellation and plan changes

You may cancel or change your plan at any time from your account — no email or support ticket required. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and access continues until then. When you change plans, proration is calculated by Stripe and usage already consumed in the period carries into the new plan. Deleting your account cancels future renewals.

6. Refunds

Except where required by law or expressly stated at purchase, payments are non-refundable. Where a full refund is issued, plan access ends and future renewal is cancelled.

7. Acceptable use

You may only submit text you own or have the right to submit. You agree not to: (a) submit unlawful content or content that infringes another person's rights; (b) attempt to probe, disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service; (c) resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties as your own offering without our written agreement; (d) use automated means to access the Service other than interfaces we provide; or (e) use the Service to violate academic, professional, or institutional integrity policies that apply to you. You remain solely responsible for how you use reports and for complying with the rules of your school, employer, or publisher.

8. Fraud prevention

The introductory trial is limited to one per customer. To enforce this, we use non-reversible payment-method identifiers provided by Stripe (never full card numbers). Checkouts that violate market, duplicate-subscription, or trial-abuse rules may be automatically cancelled and refunded.

9. Your content and our license to operate

You retain all rights to the text you submit. You grant Elowin Labs LLC a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit, and display that text and the resulting reports solely to provide, secure, and improve the operation of the Service. We do not publish your text, sell it, or use it to train general-purpose AI models.

10. Our intellectual property

The Service — including its software, design, branding, and content other than yours — is owned by Elowin Labs LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. "Silvertext" and associated logos are trade names of Elowin Labs LLC. These Terms grant you no rights in them except the limited right to use the Service.

11. Third-party services

The Service depends on third-party providers (for example: payment processing, authentication, hosting, and model inference). Their availability affects ours; where a provider outage disrupts the Service, we will make reasonable efforts to restore it promptly.

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ELOWIN LABS LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT REPORTS WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ELOWIN LABS LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS IN ANY TWELVE-MONTH PERIOD WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THAT PERIOD. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

14. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud or abuse, legal requirements, or discontinuation of the Service, with notice where practicable. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 9, 10, 12, 13, and 16) survive.

15. Changes to the Service or these Terms

We may update the Service and these Terms. For material changes we will give notice (for example by email or in-product) before the changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Courts located in Palm Beach County, Florida have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes not subject to another mandatory forum, and each party consents to their jurisdiction. Nothing in this section limits consumer rights that cannot be waived under the laws of your place of residence.
