Silvertext accepts source files and treats them differently from prose.
What is checked
- Copied code: passages are matched against published pages the same way prose is, so a function lifted from a public repository or a tutorial shows up with the source beside it.
- Comments and strings: the writing inside your code is checked for spelling and grammar in its own language.
What is not checked
Grammar, style and AI likelihood are not run on the code itself: a loop is not a sentence. Findings inside code regions are limited to matches.
How to submit code
Upload the file with its normal extension, or paste it. Silvertext recognizes code by the file type and by the shape of the text, so a pasted snippet without a file name is usually handled correctly too. Mixed documents, such as an essay with a code listing inside, are handled per region.
